Putuo Village is a place where you can escape from the city and immerse yourself in the nature. With a huge bamboo forest, this is a village where you can learn about Buddhism arts and Chinese culture. 


As you walk through the bamboo forest, you will see many spots where you can take photos. There’s a hanging nest where you can sit in it for some photographs. Look out for an air bet in a bubble dome and other photo-worthy installations. No worries for your children, as there is a playground for them to explore.

But all these aren’t the main purpose of creating the place. The main purpose is to preserve the Buddhist culture in Malaysia. Buddhist heritage such as Buddha statues and prayer wheels are also well-preserve. The largest Zhundhi Bodhisattva statue in Southeast Asia is located here.

If you love hiking, don’t miss Gunung Pulai. This is one of the main attractions of Kulai and also one of the most popular places for hiking. It is a place for relaxation where you can see various flora and fauna. 


What you may not know is that Gunung Pulai still contain substantial primary rain forest cover. You would enjoy the view as you hike up to the summit. There are two main paths which leads to the summit. You can either take the main road or the jungle trails. Whether you are a beginner or experienced hiker, you can enjoy either path. 


As you reach the top, you will spot a waterfall. You can spend some time at the waterfall and have a dip in the cool water. It can be refreshing after a long hike. Remember to bring a set of extra clothes if you are going down the water.

You may heard of treehouse, but how many of you have stayed in it before? Rainforest Treehouse Kulai is the place where you can experience staying in a treehouse and get connected with nature. 


Located at the base of Gunung Pulai, you will be surrounded with greenery. You wouldn’t need to hike up Gunung Pulai to enjoy the nature. Although it is a tree house, it is still well-equipped. It will be equipped with mattresses and sockets. There’s also an attached bathroom and shower.

The locals started to paint the murals due to an event named ‘Let’s Art at Sawit”. It was part of the National Day celebration. Painters and locals contributed their part in the mural arts. The locals have created up to 30 murals voluntarily with the supervision and guidance from the experienced painters. The theme they set was “Hakka Culture.”


The locals may not be experienced as the painters, but definitely put their efforts to put in their creativity for the murals. It definitely worth the visit and appreciate their efforts.
